75th Anniversary Belle of the Blue and Beaus Too Winners Crowned

The 75th annual Belle of the Blue & Beaus Too Scholarship Pageant was held on February 22, 2025 in John L. Chapel. The event celebrated some of the most talented students on Georgetown College’s campus, featuring musical and creative performances on stage, academic excellence, and the spirit of Georgetown from all eight participants. President Rosemary Allen was in attendance to crown the winners.
Senior Lexi Estes ’25, Phi Mu member, wowed the judges with her grace, poise and comedy performance to be crowned the 2025 Belle of the Blue. Freshman Braden Kalla ’28, President’s House Association member, was crowned the 2025 Beau of the Blue after an amazing trumpet performance that left the crowd dancing along.
Marissa Taylor '28 was crowned Miss Congeniality for her uplifting personality and infectious spirit. Paul Jasper '28 was crowned Mister Congeniality for his kindness and camaraderie. These awards were voted on among the contestants.
Former Belles and Beaus were invited to attend the 75th Anniversary pageant. Belles in attendance included host and first African American Belle Jerryn Jones ’20, Maggie Donaldson Mills ’69, Jan Costigan Lester ’73, Sharon Caldwell Hancock ’73 and Jodee Berger Seibert ’84. Beau Colton Sosbe ’23 was also in attendance.
“Georgetown has found its diamonds,” said Jerryn Jones. “Congratulations to this year's winners, and special thanks to all who participated and supported this event.”
Contestants for Belle of the Blue included: Emiley Mattingly '25, Macie Riffe'25, Joana Colorado Gomez '26, and Marissa Taylor '28, and winner Lexi Estes '25.
Contestants for Beau of the Blue included: Leon Johnson '26, Paul Jasper '28, and winner Braden Kalla '28.
