English Education is an interdisciplinary program that prepares you to teach English in high schools. The excellent English department offers a range of expertise; combined with our strong Education program, this major will prepare you for your career. And you can even begin classes for your Masters in Education during your fourth year!

Twenty-eight graduates of GC’s English Education undergraduate program are active teachers in Kentucky—and others are employed in schools across the nation.

Program Requirements

36 hours for the English major; an additional 32 hours in Education for secondary certification.
