Partnership Allows BCTC Grads to Earn Bachelor's Degree Online
Submitted on July 22, 2025
Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) and Georgetown College are proud to announce a new partnership that offers BCTC graduates a seamless, affordable path to a bachelor’s degree through Georgetown College’s Adult Online Program.
Georgetown’s Provost, Dr. Jonathan Sands Wise, is excited about the possibilities for this program to serve a new group of students. “The Adult Online Program is an excellent opportunity for GC to find new ways to fulfill its mission of providing students a service-oriented, liberal arts education at any stage of life.”
Through this partnership, BCTC graduates who have earned an associate degree will be automatically admitted to Georgetown College with a simplified transfer of credits. Students will benefit from the same tuition rate they paid at BCTC during their first year at Georgetown College, making the transition both cost-effective and accessible.
Designed with working adults in mind, the Georgetown College Adult Online Program is offered 100% online with no campus visits required, giving students the flexibility to continue their education on their own schedules.
Students can pursue a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Elementary Education, Management, or Integrated Studies (a flexible general studies degree open to all).
“This partnership is a powerful example of how institutions can work together to remove barriers to higher education,” said Dr. Greg Feeney, BCTC President/CEO. “By providing a clear and affordable path to a bachelor’s degree, we’re creating life-changing opportunities for our graduates and helping meet Kentucky’s workforce and community needs.”
