Georgetown College is excited to announce the expansion of our athletics program with the addition of three new sports teams: Women’s Wrestling, Men’s Wrestling and Esports. All three teams are set to compete in the 2025-26 school year. Georgetown College has hired three new head coaches to lead these programs:
Angela Vitiritti, Head Coach of Women’s Wrestling - Vitiritti brings a strong record of success, having led Taylor County High School to a KHSAA state championship and earning multiple coaching honors. A former Campbellsville University team captain and NAIA national finalist, she is eager to build Georgetown’s program and shape the future of women’s wrestling in Kentucky.
Frank James, Head Coach of Men’s Wrestling - A highly accomplished coach, James developed Campbellsville University’s wrestling program into a national powerhouse, producing 70 All-Americans, four national champions, and a 2024 Olympian. He now looks forward to leading Georgetown’s new program, with recruitment underway for the 2025-26 season.
Alyssa Tinker, Head Coach of Esports - Tinker previously led Midway University’s Esports program to multiple championships and over 110 wins in the last two seasons, brings extensive coaching experience across multiple game titles. She looks forward to building a competitive program and contributing to the winning tradition of Georgetown College Athletics.
The new teams will begin competing in Fall of 2025, with recruitment and tryouts set to take place in the coming months. Georgetown College is dedicated to providing a well-rounded collegiate experience by combining academic achievement with athletic opportunities. The addition of these teams contributes to our mission of supporting student success both in the classroom and on the field.
