Teacher leaders collaborate with school administrators and other teachers to address the needs of a diverse student population. They take on additional roles outside the classroom to improve student and school performance. Certificate options in this program include Elementary Education, Learning and Behavior Disorders, or Moderate and Severe Disabilities (MSD). There is also an option focusing on instructional coaching, which is a concentration, not a certificate.
Upon successful completion of the program and certification requirements, candidates will be recommended for certification as a Teacher Leader (Grades P-12) and applicable additional certificate options.

Online Program Description
The Master’s Teacher Leader is a 30 to 33 credit hour program depending on the additional certification area. There are no in-person class meetings. Assignments and project implementation can be based on your current or desired employment.
