Each fall, we welcome first-year students to campus before the semester starts. The goal of orientation is to help students get comfortable and learn what it means to be a Georgetown College Tiger. During orientation, you’ll meet classmates, upperclassmen leaders, faculty, and staff who can help you settle in. You’ll learn about resources for success and can ask questions about campus life or your first class.
Don’t worry, your schedule ensures you have time to set up your dorm room so you and your roommate can see the TV from your beds. From move-in to class start, you’ll feel confident, have fun, and show Tiger Pride. We look forward to welcoming you!

MOVE-IN
STEP 1: KNOW THE DAY YOU NEED TO ARRIVE
Your move-in time and instructions, such as labeling your items before arriving, will be sent to both your personal and GC email addresses. If any changes are made before the day, your admissions counselor will notify you via email.
FALL 2026 MOVE-IN DAY
SATURDAY, AUGUST 15, 2026
BETWEEN 9:00 AM AND 3:00 PM.
STEP 2: KNOW THE TIME TO ARRIVE
CHECK-IN TIMES To keep things moving smoothly, move-in times are organized by room number. You will be notified of your check-in time via email to both your personal and GC accounts. The full move-in time matrix will also be sent to you.
STEP 3: ENTER CAMPUS AND PARK
Enter campus on Robert N. Wilson Drive. GC Staff will welcome you and label your car with your building and room number. They will then direct you to your residence hall. Once you stop, GC staff, faculty, and students will unload your belongings and carry them straight to your room (so label everything!).
STEP 4: CHECK-IN
Head to the lobby of your assigned residence hall to officially check in, pick up your key, and meet your Residence Life staff. Your Resident Assistant (RA) will then walk you to your room to complete check-in.
STEP 5: MOVE YOUR CAR
After unloading, volunteers will direct your family to your designated parking lot.
