The engineering mathematics major can be pursued on its own or as preparation for a dual-degree program in engineering at the University of Kentucky (UK). As a standalone program, it provides a firm foundation in applied mathematics and develops skills needed in contemporary industrial settings. Students who complete all Georgetown requirements before transferring to UK will receive bachelor’s degrees from both institutions, distinguishing themselves as they enter the workforce.
In the most recent Collegiate Employment Research Institute study, engineering professions took almost all the top spots for starting salaries for Bachelor’s degree holders.
