“The Chemistry Department prepared me for more than just graduate school. They taught me how to speak up and that it’s okay not to know the answer all the time. They taught me to believe in myself, especially when research wasn’t going the way I expected. They taught me how to be brave and strive for excellence. The GC Chemistry department made me realize my potential and allowed me to grow in ways that I never expected. The chemistry department at Georgetown not only prepared me for grad school and my first chemistry job by providing a solid learning environment where learning came easily, but also gave me hands-on lab experience that was realistic and included some of the things I still use today and carry with me. The support from all of the Chemistry staff is unmatched.
