There are 6 pillars to the Georgetown College 2023 to 2029 Strategic Plan. These pillars are:

STUDENT SUCCESS 

Help students thrive in pursuit of their educational goals 

  • Assess and improve alignment between curricular offerings and student needs 
  • Provide appropriate support to at-risk students 
  • Increase alignment between academics, athletics, and student life to coordinate the multiple domains of student learning 
  • Provide a safe and comfortable residential environment 

POWERFUL GROWTH 

Grow new programs that serve student and community needs 

  • Initiate new undergraduate programs through consortium partnerships 
  • Launch undergraduate programs in high-need fields 
  • Design and implement a cost-effective online program for non-traditional students 
  • Develop graduate programs that serve the community’s workforce needs 
  • Expand athletic offerings 

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT 

Foster community through commitment to love and service 

  • Increase sense of community, campus engagement, trust, and connection with peers 
  • Expand connections with alumni and the community that provide meaningful opportunities for engagement 
  • Improve campus spaces that help build community and support all students
  • Ensure a welcoming, empathetic, and inclusive environment 

SOLID FOUNDATION 

Build a financially sustainable operational model 

  • Ensure careful stewardship of College resources 
  • Implement balanced tuition policies 
  • Enhance curricular efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Implement sound and effective financial strategies in athletics 
  • Stabilize and grow enrollment 

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS 

Expand sources of financial and program support 

  • Seek grant support for strategically important projects 
  • Form mutually beneficial partnerships that help grow new programs and improve College facilities 
  • Design and launch a Capital Campaign to secure the funding that will allow the College to thrive in its third century 

BRIGHT FUTURE 

Invest in strengthening the College’s ability to fulfill its mission 

  • Support campus personnel and operations through strategic investments in growth and quality 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Facilities Plan 
  • Invest in facilities that enhance student support and satisfaction 
  • Streamline and improve technology services
