GEORGETOWN, KY – The American Academy of Equine Art presents its Spring Invitational Exhibition and Sale on the campus of Georgetown College.
It opens with an artist’s reception on Friday, April 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Anne Wright Wilson Fine Art Gallery on College Street in Georgetown, KY. The exhibit continues through May 24.
A non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, the American Academy of Equine Art, Inc. was established in 1980 by a group of ten distinguished artists, individually famed for their work on equine subjects. Its aim, according to its Web site, was to maintain a degree of excellence within the genre, and to promote the academic representation of the equine form in drawing, painting and sculpture.
Wilson Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 4:30 p.m. and other times by appointment. Contact Jeanette Tesmer for more information. Email: Jeanette_tesmer@georgetowncollege.edu.
