Five GC Band Scholars Make Intercollegiate Band

GEORGETOWN, KY – Early in February, five of Georgetown College’s Band Scholars participated in the 2013 Kentucky Intercollegiate Band (KIB) performance in Louisville at Whitney Hall of Kentucky Center for Performing Arts. The KIB is comprised of 105 members chosen from among the finest college and university bands from across the Commonwealth.

Johnathan Rogers, B-Flat Clarinet, Corinth, KY, was selected as an alternate.

The KIB performance is an annual event that is part of the Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) In-Service Conference.

The Tiger Bands are directed by Dr. Pete LaRue, Professor of Music.
