Georgetown, KY – If you’ve never visited The Dr. Donald L. and Dorothy Jacobs Gallery at Georgetown College you are missing one of the best twentieth-century art collections in Kentucky. Rectify that soon – or revisit one of your most favorite art spaces – by taking in  Perspectives: Celebrating a Decade of the Dr. Donald L. and Dorothy Jacobs Gallery, which brings together works donated by the Jacobses to showcase the breadth of exemplary fine art that has become integral to campus life.

Plan smartly and you could make it an evening with the arts — first the opening reception of this show, followed by opening night of the College Maskrafters’ “The 39 Steps.” (See the next e-newsletter item.)

The exhibition in the Cochenour Gallery also explores the contributions and perspectives of many of the individuals involved in the realization of the Jacobs Gallery. A talk by Lexington-native Daniel Ludwig, one of several esteemed artists represented in the Jacobs Collection, will take place during the opening reception, Friday, October 19, 6-8 p.m. Click HERE for more information!
