Georgetown, KY (April 3) – The committee members of Dance Marathon, the second-year GC student organization that raises money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, can now do “a little dance” after this past weekend’s fund-raising success.

Surpassing (so far) their $10,000 goal by nearly $600, Dance Marathon Georgetown College won’t know the grand total for a couple of weeks as checks continue to come in, said publicity chair Ashley Fox.

Primary sponsors were Kohl’s – which sent employee volunteers over Friday to help set up as well –and Papa John’s of Georgetown, and 104.5 The Cat (Clear Channel Communications).

Dance Marathon also thanks these Georgetown businesses: Advanced Eyecare, Applebee’s, Between Friends, Central Bank, Chick-Fil-A, Georgetown Flowers, Penn Station, Pizza Hut, Mancinos, Starbucks and Walmart. Other supporters include Hooters in Lexington and Kentuckiana Title Agency of Louisville.
