Georgetown, KY â€“ Georgetown College’s Jaime Horne, the current Kappa Delta chapter president, received two huge honors at the sororityâ€™s national conference in Atlanta this past weekend.
The junior Psychology major from Paris, was named one of three winners of a $2,000 scholarship endowed by the late Elizabeth Banta Mueller, a former member of Kappa Deltaâ€™s National Council and Hall of Honor recipient. The award is based on academic performance and service to chapter and university (or college).
Then Jaime, whoâ€™s also a GC Tiger cheerleader, was surprised with The Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award, presented each year to the top echelon of Kappa Delta student leaders. This award is based upon high academic performance, exemplary leadership within the chapter, on campus and in the community. The Stegall awards are the highest individual honor that Kappa Delta gives to undergraduate members.
