The changes coming to higher education because of COVID-19 have introduced an incredible amount of uncertainty into our work.  In order to provide a safe and welcoming community, Georgetown College has established the following COVID-19-specific protocols for visitors, vendors, guests, and contractors who spend time on campus.

CDC guidelines and Healthy at Work guidelines will be followed for all visitors to campus, including prospective students and alumni/donors. Until the CDC guidelines have been lifted, it is advisable to call before you make a trip to campus.

  • All visitors, guests, faculty and staff will be required to wear masks while on campus. It is required to wear a mask when inside any building.
    • Masks are not required:
      • When in an enclosed indoor space alone (such as an office)
      • When outside and more than 6 feet apart
      • Walking outside on campus alone
  • Separate entry and exit points/staircases within each building to lower exposure
  • We encourage all visitors to call ahead and make an appointment rather than dropping by unannounced
  • If you are not feeling well, know that you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past two weeks, or are running a fever of 100.4 or higher, we ask that you please call and reschedule your visit to campus.
  • Multiple hand sanitizer stands will be available in all facilities.
  • Enhanced and expanded disinfecting protocols will be implemented on a regular basis. Although the staff will be sanitizing surfaces throughout your visit, please wash your hands or sanitize often while on campus

Presidential Event Guidelines - Please do not 'drop in' to visit President Jones at his home. To schedule an appointment, please contact Executive Director of Strategic Advancement Initiatives, Christy Mai at or the Executive Assistant to the President, Leah Stubbs at
