Political Science Department
The Political Science Department at Georgetown College aims to increase student awareness and understanding of the domestic political process, international and global issues, and the normative foundations of politics. Students are trained in the four major sub-fields of Political Science (Political Theory, Comparative Politics, American Politics, and World Politics) in order to prepare them for responsible citizenship and future careers. Training in the Department may serve as preparation for graduate school, law school, government jobs, and private sector jobs. The Department also offers programs through the Martin School of Public Administration and the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky.
