SUMMARY:Challenged Book Event
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Carter will present on the history of literary censorship and challenged books\, followed by an opportunity for attendees to share the challenged books that have mattered to them. \nSigma Tau Delta’s challenged books event invites the campus community to explore how literature connects us across differences in experience\, identity\, and belief. By considering why books are challenged and whose voices are affected\, participants will engage with questions of intellectual freedom\, cultural representation\, and ethical responsibility. The event encourages thoughtful dialogue about difficult ideas and reflection on how our values shape what we read and how we respond to others.
