Where is she now? After interning with the World Equestrian Games during college, Maggie is now working there full-time as the Equine Relations and Special Projects Coordinator for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
Comments: The Equine Scholars Program opened my eyes to all the possible equine-faceted careers. I was fortunate enough to combine my passion with my profession. The Equine Scholars Program and Georgetown College provided me with excellent opportunities and helped me to succeed both professionally and academically.

Angie Fischer

Where is she now? Angie is attending Xavier Univeristy and working toward her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She will graduate in the Spring 0f 2012 as a licensed clinician and therpaist.

Michael McCord

Where is he now? Michael is studying for Math Comprehensives and is currently working for HP as a software development intern.
Comments: The Equine Scholars Program allowed me to learn much about the equine industry beyond the racetrack. It has given me an appreciation for this industry and its impact on the world in which we live.

Jennifer Oliver

Where is she now? While still an undergrad at Georgetown College, Jennifer earned her equine massage therapy license and established her own business, Central Kentucky Equine Massage Therapy.
Comments: The Equine Scholars Program helped me gain the experience I needed to successfully start my own business. I gained a well-rounded education about the horse industry and made many important contacts that later proved very useful. I am glad to have been a part of this wonderful Program and truly enjoyed spending time with such caring staff and supportive members.

Meredith Skaggs

Where is she now? Meredith is attending Western Kentucky University for a Master’s Degree in Communications. She is continuing her work with Goose Creek Thoroughbreds/Equix Biomechanics, which began as an undergrad internship.

Nick Spalding

Where is he now? Nick traveled Europe for six weeks upon graduation before taking an internship with the Houston Texans football team in the media relations department. He is now back home in Kentucky working at Stonerside Farm.
