GC Alumni Come Home

Michelle Stromquist Bowling, Georgetown College Class of 2002, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Business.  Upon graduating Michelle worked for Scholastic Book Fairs for 8 years.  In March of 2011, Michelle began working for Follett Higher Education Group to manage the bookstore at Transylvania University. Her boss knew that if Georgetown College ever became available she wanted the opportunity to work at her alma mater.  Michelle says, “It is great being back home, being able to share memories with alumni and current students; building that relationship.”

Matt Young, 1996 GC grad, led a running workshop on campus February 19, 2013. Matt is a financial advisor for Horizon Financial Services and a Road Runner Club of America certified running coach (www.wvruncoach.com). He and his wife Ann, a 1995 GC grad, have two children Caroline and Charlie and live in Hurricane, WV.

Dr. Will Flanagan, class of 1993, spoke to pre-vet students on campus.  He talked to them about managing his 5 veterinary clinics in Elizabethtown, Danville, Bowling Green and Lexington and how Georgetown prepared him for veterinary school at Auburn University.
