“The Student Women and Gender Society (SWaGS) is a group on Georgetown College’s campus that studies the social construction of gender and raises awareness concerning its social, cultural, and political implications.  The purpose of our organization is to empower the people in our communities, as well as all members of Georgetown College.  We welcome students, faculty, and staff who are committed to the betterment of our shared environment, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation.” (Student-authored mission statement)
