“The Student Women and Gender Society (SWaGS) is a group¬†on Georgetown College’s campus that¬†studies the social construction of gender and raises awareness concerning¬†its social, cultural, and political¬†implications.¬†¬†The purpose of¬†our organization is to empower¬†the people in our communities, as well as¬†all¬†members of Georgetown College.¬† We¬†welcome students, faculty, and staff who are committed to the betterment of our shared environment, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation.” (Student-authored mission statement)
