Kristin Espeland Gourlay, Faculty Advisor and General Manager

Kristin joined Georgetown College and WRVG in Fall 2011. She teaches broadcasting and journalism as an adjunct faculty member in addition to advising WRVG students. She brings more than eight years of experience as a professional journalist, primarily in public radio. Most recently, she was the environment reporter and managing editor of a new, regional environmental news service called the Ohio River Radio Consortium at WFPL, Louisville’s NPR news station. Previously, at Wyoming Public Radio, she helped launch the network’s award-winning news magazine, Open Spaces. Her award-winning work has aired on National Public Radio and on stations and programs throughout the nation. She has a masters in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Kristin is also an active member of the Georgetown community, serving as an advisory board member to Hospitality House and acting with Georgetown Community Theater. Contact Kristin.

Mark Scout, Station Manager

Mark Scout Mark hails from Bloomfield, KY.  He started working with the station in August 2010 as the main board operator for WRVG Sports.  Now, in addition to being the station’s manager for the 2011-2012 school year, Mark anchors live sports broadcasts.  He also runs cross-country at Georgetown. Keith Arutoff, Sports Director

Keith says: I am the official play-by-play voice of Georgetown football, baseball, and basketball, and also host a talk show called “Game Changers” on Mondays and Fridays at 3:00pm. I am a member of the Georgetown College Field and Track team, and hold two school records as well as one Mid-South Conference Record. Nick Kelly, Production and Training Director

Nick says: I am the Production and Training manager for WRVG. I love teaching; radio and pretty much anything else in the world. Ask a question and I’ll give you an answer, even if I make it up off the top of my head. I am always looking for an excuse to hear my own voice; radio lets me do that and even gives me a microphone. Dr. Chris Nix

chris nixDr. Nix is Chair of the Communication Department at Georgetown College, which oversees the station.  Chris has a wide range of teaching experience in the communication discipline, including organizational communication, conflict management, group dynamics, gender and relationship communication.  He received his Ph.D. from Ohio University.  He is a native of Louisville, KY; has a Yellow Lab named Maggie, and enjoys general outdoor activities.
