The President’s Ambassador program was established in 1992 to encourage exemplary students to become actively involved in the development and promotion of the college and to offer additional leadership training opportunities. There are many benefits for the students who are selected to become President’s Ambassadors, such as opportunities to improve public speaking and social skills, opportunities to chauffeur the president and represent the college at various engagements, and opportunities for domestic and international travel.
The Ambassadors consist of twenty-two students each of whom represents a former president of the college. Faculty and staff are invited to nominate students who best represent the mission and ideals of Georgetown College. Ambassadors must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average and junior or senior status. They should have demonstrated outstanding leadership and public speaking abilities. Students are nominated by faculty and staff members and Dr. Crouch makes the final appointments.
