Student Membership on the Campus Judicial Board
Description
The Campus Judicial Board is composed of 3 student members, a representative of the faculty and a representative from Student Life. Members of the College’s Campus Judicial Board hear allegations of student violations of the Student Code of Conduct. They hear evidence for and against charged students and decide levels of responsibility. When necessary, the members decide sanctions that are to be imposed against a responsible student. A fourth student will also be selected as an alternate in the event one of the three students is unavailable.
Eligibility
Student members must be at least a sophomore in standing (at least 24 earned hours)and be in good academic and social standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Board members shall serve for one academic year and are eligible to re-apply for continued service if desired.
Other
Students selected to serve on the Board will be expected to attend a 3 hour
training session and will then meet once or twice weekly as needed to hear
cases. The time commitment for this position is typically 4-5 hours per week.
