COMM471 A Special Topics: Ethonography Dummer, S. 9:30-1:30PM -MTWRF- 3.00 LRC 150
Prerequisite: COMM115 or COMM200 The purpose of this course is to explore the use of ethnography in the study of communication situations. Students will develop an understanding of where ethnography is situated within social science research, as well as what types of social situations lend themselves to ethnographic research. Students will understand an engage in ethnographic data collection and analysis of a communication phenomenon of their choosing.
