Psi Chi members volunteered during the 8th annual Buddy Walk fundraiser, sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky. The walk, held during National Down Syndrome Awareness Month each October, encourages acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Funds raised increase awareness and education for local families, caregivers, medical and educational professionals in the surrounding community (http://volunteer.truist.com/uwbg/org/10246917740.html).
Students who participated include Alyssa Potter, Kristen Greenfield, Chelsea Denham, Blythe Graden, and Kayleigh Riddell. Faculty included Drs. Bell, Castaneda, and Singer.
