You Can Help Make the Noh Workshop Possible!

In 2007, over ten individuals and organizations generously donated time and money to bring three prestigious instructors in Noh from Kyoto, Japan to Georgetown, KY. Katayama Sensei, Tamoi Sensei and Oe Sensei loved Kentucky so much they are coming back! And, they are bringing with them Kawamura Haruhisa Sensei, designated Living National Treasure (group recognition).

The Noh workshop involves long, rigorous days of practice learning an art form that has been performed without interruption for over 600 years. The 2007 participants found the experience profound, inspiring and life changing. Hundreds of people watched the demonstration of costuming, masking, dance and music, and the final performance by the participants and instructors.
