Georgetown College women's basketball coach James Jackson has announced the addition of Southern Illinois transfer Olivia Bowling, a native of New Haven, Ky., who will join the Tigers for the 2018-19 season.
"Livie is a wonderful addition to our program and the culture we are trying to build. She is a floor general with a high basketball IQ and has a track record of success," Jackson said. "She is a competitor, and we are excited to have her at Georgetown."
Bowling, a 5-foot-9 guard, played at SIU for her first two seasons, appeared in 59 games and averaged nearly 10 minutes a game.
In high school, Bowling played at Elizabethtown High School and assisted in leading her team to a 113-22 record with two regional championships and an appearance in the Kentucky state championship game in 2014. Additionally, maxpreps.com ranked the school No.21 in the nation concluding the 2014-15 season.
