Last evening, I enjoyed a delightful visit with the Woman’s Association of Georgetown College, as they held one of their regular meetings at the College’s Conference Center on East Campus. For those of you who are not aware, this organization has provided decades of support for Georgetown College. The Association was organized in 1897 for the purpose of fostering the interests of Georgetown College by the establishment of scholarships for women students, and by the cultivation of true loyalty on the part of its alumnae, former students and friends. We honor what the Association has meant to the College through many years, and we are grateful for the continuing support.

The evening was highlighted by a visit from the Georgetown College Chorale, and by recognition of students receiving scholarship assistance from the Association. On the serious side, I was able to share with the group some details about scholarship needs and packaging, and on the less-serious side share with them one of my favorite ‘Jack Tales.’  Indeed, it was a hearty evening!

On We Go!
