ON WE GO! – December 13, 2017
Submitted on December 13, 2017
As I write today, my mind is moving past travel responsibilities, business obligations, and attendance at meetings. Instead, I am enjoying some concentrated focus on Georgetown’s Graduate Education Program. Long recognized across Kentucky as one of the finest programs of its type, our Master of Arts in Education has seen tremendous growth in recent years. That growth reinforces the reality that, in spite of its challenges, the worthiness of the teaching profession is still widely acknowledged and embraced. For virtually its entire history, the College has proudly produced teachers for service throughout Kentucky and beyond. That is a sterling dimension of Georgetown’s service to the Commonwealth and, on behalf of the College, I am proud that Graduate Education is a significant dimension of our educational mission.
If you are available and would like to attend, at 7:00 p.m. this Friday evening, December 15th, in the John L. Hill Chapel, over a hundred Graduate Education students will receive their degrees. Come if you can, and join us in celebrating with them.
