The Georgetown College Tiger Bands proudly present their fall anniversary concert, “Celebrations,” Monday, Nov. 19, at 8 p.m. in John L. Hill Chapel. It is a showcase for the musically talented students from a diverse range of academic disciplines.
The “Celebrations” concert features works by Curnow, de Haan, Romeyn, Saucedo, and Standridge, according to conductor and Professor of Music Dr. Pete LaRue.
As is tradition, admission to the fall anniversary concert is a non-perishable food item that will be distributed for the holidays by the AMEN House to the less-fortunate in the Georgetown/Scott County area.
Following the concert, there will be a Reception in the Foyer of the Chapel for all band scholars, band families, and Tiger Bands friends.
Dr. Pete notes also that he will have available for purchase after the concert “some jim-dandy stocking-stuffers in the form of very special Grrr…Magic Sunflower Seeds.” Proceeds provide additional financial support for Tiger Bands.
