Job prospects, the intellectual challenge, and the chance to follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest thinkers of all time are valid reasons for anyone to consider a career in Health and Wellness. Georgetown College offers programs in the field leading to some of the best career opportunities and strong earning potential.

Georgetown College Health and Wellness studies include offerings in exercise science, healthcare administration, and health sciences.

The Zippia evaluation looked at each school’s career results, health and wellness emphasis, and overall performance in admissions, graduation, the average cost of attendance, and the median amount of debt.

“I am not at all surprised that our program rates so well on these objective measures,” stated Dr. Rosemary Allen, Provost. “Even more impressive is the number of additional benefits of our program that were not included in the ranking criteria.

For example, many of our Health Science majors are invited to participate in our “Healthy Living and Leadership” Program of Distinction, focused specifically on building extra-curricular engagement in health and wellness issues. Our Kinesiology and Health Studies Club has award-winning participation in the ‘Exercise is Medicine’ national program, and our department has been recognized for excellence by the American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Georgetown’s program provides both those objective markers of success and the subjective experiences that enrich and deepen the student experience.”
