Faithways Academy Coming to Georgetown College on June 15th
Submitted on June 7, 2019
Faithways Academy is a week long camp that provides current high school students an opportunity to reflect deeply on their faith in an academic setting. Along with the potential to grow and learn, students who complete Faithways Academy are eligible for a $10,000 scholarship to Georgetown College, $2,500 per academic year for four years.
The new Director of Faithways Academy, Hollis Dudgeon, cannot wait to welcome campers to campus on June 15th. A graduate of Georgetown College, she recently completed her Masters of Divinity at Wake Forest University School of Divinity. She’s thrilled to be back at Georgetown to help shape students’ spiritual journey.
“I feel gratitude and peace and excitement at the possibilities of returning to Georgetown to serve as the Director of Faithways because Georgetown is a special place and ultimately, the people make it what it is,” she said.
During the week, campers at Faithways Academy will take courses on such topics as Church History and Biblical Storytelling, fostering in them a lifelong commitment to learning and leading in their faith and in their community. They’ll also interact with local churches and serve in the community, all while living and learning with their fellow campers.
Faithways Academy is June 15th through June 21st. Registration for 2019 is now closed, but more information can be found at gogc.me/faithways.
