Day of Giving: Celebrate Generosity and Community on #GCTigerTuesday
Submitted on November 17, 2017
Perhaps you’ve been hearing a lot recently about #GCTigerTuesday. Sure, it sounds philanthropic, but just what is it?
Quite simply, #GCTigerTuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, is part of National Giving Day, a global movement celebrating one of America’s greatest traditions: generosity and community. For Georgetown College, it is an opportunity for all people – individuals, businesses, organizations, alumni, friends, family, students, anyone and everyone - to demonstrate a common capacity to support the mission of Georgetown College which is to prepare students to engage in life’s pursuits with thoughtfulness and skill by providing an exceptional educational experience in a vibrant Christian community.
On this one day during the 24-hour period from midnight to midnight, the school seeks 585 gifts – monetary donations large or small. “Drive-thru gifts” may be made in person on campus by cash, check, or credit card from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Just drive up Giddings Circle right off East College Street and be greeted in front of Giddings Hall by a helpful college representative who will assist. Of course, gifts by credit card may be made online at any time using the link http://gogc.me/gctigertuesday.
If time permits, please park in one of the visitor spots and stop by the community open house to be held in the Jones-Hall-Nelson Suite of Cralle Student Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We would love to have you visit and learn more about how students will benefit from your generosity.
Please be one of the 585 to support and champion Georgetown College. From all of us, we thank you in advance for giving, for caring, for helping to make #GCTigerTuesday one to remember.
