GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Georgetown College has received NCATE re-accreditation for its teacher education programs at the baccalaureate and post baccalaureate levels that prepare individuals for the first license to teach, and for its programs at the post baccalaureate levels for continuing education of teachers and that of other professional school personnel.

The seven-year re-accreditation was confirmed unanimously by the Kentucky Educational Professional Standards Board (EPSB) this week.

NCATE, The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, advances excellence in educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation that assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning.
