Louisville, Ky. – The Interim Coordinator to Kentucky Baptist Fellowship’s Coordinating Council is John Christopher “Chris” Sanders, a 1981 graduate of Georgetown College.
He is an attorney who is also a deacon and musician at Ridgewood Baptist Church in Louisville.
After GC, Sanders earned a M.Div. from Southern Seminary and his J.D. from the University of Louisville.
Laura Barclay, KBF Communications, Networking & Interim Missions Associate, in an electronic newsletter, described Sanders as coming from a long line of Kentucky Baptists including his grandfather, a former president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and a bi-vocational preacher and farmer. His parents were volunteer medical missionaries and Chris has been active in Baptist churches and missions his entire life.
She quotes Chris as having said, “My plan is to be visiting and speaking in KBF churches on Sundays and Wednesdays from one end of the Commonwealth to the other throughout the interim. I’ve probably already called your church asking to come by. If we haven’t already talked, please call me. I look forward to being with you.”
