GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Georgetown College has again been named a College of Distinction in recognition of its overall excellence as a residential liberal arts institution. This marks the 11TH consecutive year GC has been so listed by the Colleges of Distinction guide for high school juniors and seniors.
“Georgetown College was selected for providing an innovative, teacher-centered undergraduate education with a strong record of preparing its graduates for real world success,” wrote Colleges of Distinction Founder Wes Creel, in advising GC of its 2014-2015 listing.
As a college guide company, Colleges of Distinction prides itself on going beyond rankings. Its goal, according to its website, is to provide students, counselors, and parents with information about schools that excel in “what really matters about a college: the success of its graduates, the quality of its teaching, the atmosphere of its campus, and so forth.”
In his letter, Creel added “We recognize that Georgetown College remains dedicated to the Colleges of Distinction’s core values: Engaged Students, Great Teaching, Vibrant Community, and Successful Outcomes.”
