GEORGETOWN, Ky. – EarthDayThe Georgetown College Sustainability Initiative hosts “Restore: The Earth Day Event,” a FREE, festival-like concert with Warren Byrom & Fabled Canelands and Old World Heritage, today, 5-8 p.m. on Giddings Lawn.

Cris Lopez, a Georgetown student, will open the event with his band.

Visitors are encouraged to bring old athletic shoes to be collected and recycled through Reuse-A-Shoe, and to bring items to donate to the campus Habitat for Humanity rummage sale.

There will be door prizes, T-shirt tie-dying, face painting, and more.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle and chairs or blankets to sit on.

If it rains, the event moves inside Cralle Student Center.
