athletics_GCLEXINGTON, KY – Georgetown College’s President Dr. M. Dwaine Green is quickly becoming involved in the life of the central Kentucky higher education community.

On Friday, December 13, he joined Dr. Michael Benson of Eastern Kentucky University and Dr. John Marsden of Midway College for a panel discussion that focused on the Bluegrass’s strong commitment to higher education and the challenges facing students in the current economy. The panel was moderated by Dr. Eli Capilouto of the University of Kentucky.

Other topics included the challenge of administering faith based institutions (particularly of significance for Dr. Greene), alumni donations, and adapting to nontraditional students. The need for continued investment in higher education was stressed.

The panel was part of Good Morning Bluegrass, a breakfast series sponsored by CommerceLexington and held at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington. Additional information is available at CommerceLexington’s website. A video of the event can be found on YouTube.
