“I am pleased that a person of Dean Wyly’s skill, experience, and love of the College will be in the Dean’s role, and I look forward to working with her as a member of the Executive Cabinet,” said President Dwaine Greene in announcing her appointment as the chief student life officer.
Dean Wyly joined the College’s student life staff in 2008. Since then, she has had various responsibilities including Area Coordinator for Greek Life, Area Coordinator for Residence Life, Director of Residence Life, and Associate Dean of Students.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the College in this capacity,” said Ms. Wyly. “I believe deeply in the opportunities provided by Georgetown College, the potential of our students and the talent of our staff and faculty. I am so thankful to be a part of such a wonderful community.”
Ms. Wyly is a University of Maine alumna where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at the University of Kentucky.
She succeeds Todd Gambill, Ed.D. who was Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students. Dr. Gambill left Georgetown earlier this year to become Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Indiana University Kokomo.
With the appointment of Ms. Wyly as Dean of Students, the search for a Vice President for Student Life has been discontinued.
