PrintGEORGETOWN, KY – GC alumni living in Jefferson, Oldham, and Shelby Counties are invited to this month’s Lunch Bunch Gathering in downtown Louisville. This first effort to bring area alumni together is being held Wednesday, September 18, at the Pendennis Club, 218 W Muhammad Ali Blvd, beginning at Noon. Dutch treat. $12 per person.

Payment is to be made at the lunch, but the courtesy of an email RSVP by September 17 (alumni@georgetowncollege.edu) with name and number of people attending would be appreciated.

If, by chance, you haven’t been to the Pendennis Club, this is a perfect time to see the building’s architectural splendor that holds its own with the grand city club buildings in London and New York. You’ll also enjoy a great meal and do some GC reminiscing with friends and fellow alumni.

The Dutch treat Lunch Bunch Gathering is a new initiative of GC’s alumni relations office. It will be held in various communities on a monthly basis. Information will be posted in advance on the alumni page of the college Web site, so be sure to check regularly to see when the Gathering will be in an area near you. The city of the month will also be posted on various GC social media outlets, so be watching for information.

Laura Owsley, director of alumni relations, encourages Tigers to connect and reconnect. She says she looks forward to visiting with alumni in the months ahead in local communities everywhere.
