greeneGEORGETOWN, KY – Dr. Michael Dwaine Greene, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina, has been selected as a finalist for the Presidency of Georgetown College. He is scheduled to meet with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and members of the Georgetown, Kentucky, community-at-large on Friday, July 26, to share his vision of leadership for GC.

Dr. Greene is a 1979 graduate of Campbell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. He received his Master of Arts in New Testament from Wake Forest University in 1982 and his Ph.D. in New Testament and Early Christianity in 1987 from the University of Virginia. He has been Vice President and Provost at Campbell since 2001.

During his career, he has been a religion professor, department chair, Provost/Dean of Faculty, and, for a time, served as an Acting President.

Following is the campus visit schedule for Friday, July 26

10:00 a.m.       Meet with President’s Cabinet – Corts Conference Room – Giddings Hall

11:00 a.m.       Meet with college staff

Noon               Lunch meeting with faculty leadership – Jones-Hall-Nelson Suite – Cralle Student Center

1:30 p.m.         Meet with faculty

3:00 p.m.         Meet with students, alumni, and members of the Georgetown/Scott County community

4:00 p.m.         Break

6:00 p.m.         Reception with alumni and members of the Georgetown/Scott County community – Main Lobby – Ensor Learning Resource Center

7:00 p.m.         Dinner with Trustees – Athletic Hall of Fame Room – George H. Bush Recreation Center

Staff members are encouraged to attend the 11:00 a.m. session. All are welcome to attend both the 3:00 afternoon session and early evening reception.
