Georgetown, KY (March 2) – Due to tonight’s threat of severe weather in Scott County and all of central Kentucky, both receptions for the opening of A Passionate Pursuit: The Milward Collection at Georgetown College have been postponed.

Stay tuned to see when these events – a private reception at the home of President Bill Crouch and the public opening at the College’s Anne Wright Wilson Fine Arts Gallery – will be rescheduled.

This spectacular collection of 75 pieces in the collection of Lexingtonian John Milward – including paintings, works on paper and sculpture – will be on display through April 20. The gallery, in the Anne Wright Wilson Fine Arts Building (corner of College and Mulberry streets), is open daily Monday-Friday from noon to 4:30 p.m., and by appointment. Call gallery director Laura Stewart at 502.863-8399.

Also postponed is Kappa Delta sorority’s annual Shamrock Dinner scheduled for this evening at the Thomas & King Leadership and Conference Center on East Campus. All tickets will be honored when a new date has been determined.
