Since June of 2004, the state of Kentucky has encouraged the Adopt-A-Highway campaign to promote cleaner roads and highways in order to promote the natural environment and to bring in more visitors. This March, the Equine Scholars will officially adopt part of Kentucky’s roads to brighten up before the arrival of the 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games visitors. A green sign will be placed in the section of roads between the Ironworks Parkway from Georgetown Road to the overpass to indicate it is cleaned by the ESP.

The week of March 21-27 will kick off the clean-up process and students, faculty, and staff are also welcome to help out. For more information or to join in the effort, contact ESP Executive Director Sarah Coleman.
