Dr. Harris has been at Georgetown since 1992. He serves as chair of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. His teaching interests include elementary statistics, abstract algebra, mathematical modeling, and the use of computer software in his courses. He is particularly interested in the applications of mathematics and computational power to biology, and wishes to engage students in research projects in these areas.
