Faculty Retreat

Mark February 2nd and February 3rd (Friday evening through Saturday afternoon) on your calendars and come one, come all!

Join us for camaraderie and some purposeful conversation at Natural Bridge State Park for our annual faculty retreat. We have planned an early date so that we will not yet be buried in exams, papers, and projects. Our focus will be the General Education Curriculum: specifically, its adequacies and deficiencies in light of our goals for our students.

It is difficult to make choices in regard to change without a common vision of what we are trying to accomplish. “What kind of graduate do you feel Georgetown College should produce?” Everyone’s input is welcome!

The weekend will begin at 6:30 PM Friday with dinner at the park lodge with the evening program starting at 7:30.

Rooms will be provided for the night in the park’s lodge so that Saturday morning can start with a wake-up walk and breakfast before group discussion begins. The retreat will conclude with lunch.

Participants are welcome to invite families to join us for lunch on Saturday. If the weather is pleasant, the nature trails can make a nice family outing after lunch. For more information contact Ellen Emerick of the history department.
