| These are materials that are designated for the Scholars Developing Scholars collection : Works by Georgetown College Faculty, Alumni, Staff and Students, a collection shelved in the Reference area.Basic: Location: Scholars Showcase (in staff menu this is Scholars) Call number: Scholar [call no.] (note: this is singular Scholar for spine label – location is plural) Note: Scholars Developing Scholars – Georgetown College [faculty, alumnus, etc.]: Name, Department or affiliation. Uniform title: Scholars developing scholars. Last name, initials. (Allows for easy collocation / searching. Will display as: Scholars developing scholars. [Name].) Examples: River bends and meanders : stories, sketches, and tales of the Kentucky / by William E. Ellis. Call number (090/050): 050 Scholar PS 3555 .L6173 $b R58 1992 Evil necessity : slavery and political culture in antebellum Kentucky / Harold D. Tallant. Call number (090/050): 050 Scholar E445.K5 $b T35 2003 Miscellaneous: If you have multiple holdings, i.e. copy in some other location and a copy in Scholars…, adjust the note on the bibliographic record. If the contributor is the author of a part of a larger work, explain in the note. Author of Ch. 3. “Teaching for change in Appalachia.” Check to make sure contents note is on record, if not, put one in if appropriate. For a single issue of serials, catalog the item as a monograph. If you are doing an original record for OCLC do not add the Scholars collection information, do that locally after the record is produced. For single articles that have been Xeroxed, copied from the Internet, etc. – add these locally in Voyager. If a single article has been commercially reproduced, i.e. published, treat it as normal cataloging. |
