Microsoft Office

ATTENTION: You must uninstall any Trial Versions of Microsoft office that came preinstalled on your computer before proceeding with these instructions.

Office 2011 for Mac 

From the Finders click on Go and choose “Connect to Server”.

In the windows that pops up type this command: “smb://srv-fs01/download”.

Connect as a registered user using your username and password. Your username should be entered as fast\username.

(User Information includes your network username prefaced by “fast\”.  For a person who’s network username is “jstudent” then they would enter “fast\jstudent” and their network password.)

Open the “Mac Software” folder.

Open the “Mac Office 2011” folder.

Open the Microsoft Office 2011 disk image (.dmg).

Open the image after it is displayed on your desktop.

Open the Office installer and follow the prompts.

After the software is installed, you can drop the mounted disc to the trash can to eject it.

 

Office 2013 for Windows

Press the Windows key (between alt and control) and the R key simultaneously.

In the window that pops up, type this command: \\srv-fs01\download.

Input user information if prompted.
 (User Information includes your network login prefaced by “fast\”.  For a person who’s network login is “jstudent” then they would enter “fast\jstudent” and their network password.)

Open the Microsoft Office 2013 folder.

Choose 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x86_64).

Open the appropriate folder.

Run setup.exe.

Input user information if prompted.

Follow the prompts.
