I’ve been accepted into my chosen program…Now what?

Select Courses

You will need to work closely with your advisor, and with the chairs of departments from whom you seek credit, to select courses that will fit into your 4-year academic plan and contribute to the timely completion of your degree.

 

Semester Students: You will need to enroll for your COURSES through your study abroad program after you have been accepted. At Georgetown, you will need to register for full-time Study Abroad status (12 hours of International Studies – INS000). The credits from your specific courses will transfer in after you have completed your time abroad, and your transcript has been sent from your study abroad program or institution abroad.

Do Your Research

Check travel websites and ask around campus for information about your destination. Be sure to check the General Resources page for more information.

 

General Preparation

You will also need to complete the following:

      – Departments > International Programs > Contact Sheet

  • Notify your bank of your travel dates (credit card companies as well)
