Getting a Visa

Georgetown College is authorized by the USCIS Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to host international students under the F-1 visa category.

Admitted students that have submitted an approved Financial Resources Certification (FRC) Form AND have paid the $2,000 deposit will be issued an I-20 (the immigration document you will need to apply for an F-1 visa).

Once you receive your I-20 please check it for accuracy then make an appointment at the nearest U.S. Embassy/Consulate for your visa interview. You will need to take your I-20 and acceptance letter with you as well as any other documentation requested by the U.S. Embassy/Consulate.
