Many towns have tiendas, small grocery stores, run by folks from Latin America. Ask around and see if you can find a tienda in your community, they are great places to practice speaking Spanish and learn about Hispanic culture.

The challenge – Find a place in your local community where you can buy

(1) a Jarritos soda
(2) un tomatillo
(3) el pan dulce

Find and buy each of these items (we want you to interact with people!) and send us a picture. Post your picture on Facebook or Tweet it @GCImmersion by August 15th and we’ll enter you in a drawing to win a selection of Spanish language-themed prizes!
